Gypsum selenite from Mount Gunson, South Australia, is a clear to opaque, colorless to pale yellow mineral, characterized by its long, slender prismatic crystals. It often forms as tabular or spear-like crystals, sometimes with a distinct hourglass shape, and may have a glassy to pearly luster.
